Travelling is an exciting experience filled with uncertainties at every corner. Precisely this uncertainty that makes travelling fun. Grabbed a new travel buddy for this trip to Bangkok, and everything turned out perfecto. That is the beginning of more buddy trips. With just 2 person, it makes planning much easier, lesser people to please too. There were funny things that happened on this trip, for instance how our photo moments got us falling into the pool, and made us the laughing stock of some.
It has been long since I've been to Bangkok. As i set foot on this Southeast Asian country, I witnessed the rapid development at its optimum. Bangkok is definitely much more advanced than I last remembered. The people are very friendly, even the authorities who worked diligently round the clock to ensure the land is safe and secured. Kudos to these officers, it really made me feel safe during this trip.
Not forgetting to mention, it's my maiden experience of flying alone. I met my travel buddy in Bangkok itself, so I had to make my trip there alone, on a budget airline. Jetstar wasn't that bad. It was more my anxiety whenever it flew into the clouds and got the plane into short turbulence. There's much clouds that Monday morning, unfortunately.
Death Railway
My trip includes a step into the dark past which is gradually fading into the background as the country progresses. The railway that connects Bangkok to Myanmar, was literally constructed with the sweat, blood and tears of the POWs from WWII who toiled under the harshest conditions of nature and the cruelty of men. There was a tint bit of solemness as we navigated through the museums, then to the actual ride on the unglamorous train which fills the air with the loud passing sound as it passes. The heavy mood was soon overwhelmed with the heat from the blazing sun that hits at the surface of my skin and the dust that soon engulfed us.
To me, sightseeing is mandatory of all itineraries because it lets your mind relax from the busy shopping districts.
That's all folks for my travelog to Bangkok.
Hearty laughter
Laughter is the best medicine.
And so they say.
Personally, it does make you feel healthier when you laugh.
Look at how 山田 laughed so freely here, it's really unconstrained. The purest laughter for celebrities. So many can't do this on stage because of the heavy mask they put on, sometimes that of perfection.

Flavours of Life will be where I document some of those human mysteries I observe in my surroundings which most choose to ignore. It can be extremely interesting to stop, observe and reflect on them because you may be surprised by the sort of enlightenment one can gather from them. It is also here where I seek mental relaxation as it provides me with an escapism from the harsh reality. I will also use this space to immerse in my obsession for entertainment (Well, I can't quite move away from this since it is one of my main source of virtual happiness)
